'Bring on the Dancing Bears' is a collaborative effort between writer Carrie Regenstreif, animator David Wiewel and musician Darlene, and a first film for all three. They had always wanted to be involved in filmmaking, but weren’t quite sure where to start. One day, a very short story popped into Carrie’s head. She drew pictures for it, although she still insists she doesn’t draw. David and Darlene liked it so much that one decided to learn how to do Animation, while the other created the Soundtrack. In their other life, Carrie is a professional tree hugger, David is a photographer and Darlene is a musician-gypsy-whooping queen.
